KANSAS CITY, Kan. – In what has become standard procedure for the Neosho men in their 10 game win streak they overcame a sluggish start and an first half deficit before pulling away for a comfortable 82-58 road win over Kansas City Kansas Community College.

The Panthers (13-9) trailed 20-12 midway through the first half before opening up a 37-31 lead at the half. The Blue Devils were able to capitalize as Neosho leading scorer
Joseph Acuil spent much of the first half on the bench in foul trouble.

The second half Acuil would prove his worth as the Panthers pulled away in the final 11 minutes after KCK cut the lead to five at 47-42. Acuil helped spur a Neosho run with a pair of 3-pointers as the Panthers opened up a 64-48 lead. He also added eight more blocks as the 7-footer surpassed the century mark brining his school record to 105 for the season. He finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

The Panthers won the game despite their starters averaging more than 32 minutes a game.
Garin Vandiver scored 11 points in 19 minutes of the bench and
Jackson Perez logged 12 minutes off the bench.

Brett Frantz and
BJ Jenkins played all 40 minutes as the Panthers relied heavily on the sophomore guards. Frantz finished with 21 points on 8-13 shooting while Jenkins scored 12 points and dished out 9 assists.

The Panthers will look to extend their win streak to 11 when they travel to No. 21 Coffeyville Community Colelge Wednesday. The Ravens are 18-4 on the season but just 2-2 in their last four games after back to back losses to KCK and Cowley earlier this month.Â
