
CHANUTE, Kan. – When the Neosho basketball teams host Highland Community College on January 31 the coaching staffs will do away with their loafers for the night in favor of sneakers as part of the annual Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Awareness Campaign.

In conjunction with the Suits and Sneakers game, Neosho Athletics and Neosho County Community College are teaming up for a "Wear Your Sneakers to Work Day". With a minimum donation of $5 employees can ditch their loafers or heels and enjoy the comfort of sneakers to work on Wednesday January 28. All donations will go to Neosho County Relay for Life.

Suits and Sneakers is a way for coaches and their staff to raise awareness about the fight against cancer. By wearing sneakers with their suits it also helps highlight the importance physical activity and proper nutrition as a way to reduce the risk of the disease.
