FORT SCOTT, Kan. – The Fort Scott Greyhounds held Neosho to a season low 16% from the field as they handed the Panthers their fifth straight loss 60-35 Wednesday night.
The Panthers, looking for their first conference win of the season shot just 20% from the floor in the opening half but only trailed the Greyhounds 28-17 at halftime. The second half would see the shooting woes get even worse as Fort Scott held the Panthers to just 12% shooting on 5-39 from the floor.
Olivia Uhrich was the only Panther in double figures as she finished with 10 points on 4-10 shooting including 2-8 from beyond the 3-point line.
Neosho's path to their elusive first conference win of the season won't get any easier as they travel to Division II No. 7 Kansas City Kansas (18-2, 4-1) Saturday for a 2:00PM tipoff.
