CHANUTE, Kan. – Denise Levine's 3-pointer with 25.6 seconds gave Neosho a four point lead, but Labette scored the final 4 points of regulation to force overtime. The Cardinals outscored the Panthers 17-8 in the extra period to hand Neosho their fourth straight loss by the final of 86-77.
                                      
Neosho (9-10, 0-3) jumped out to an early 21-10 lead over Labette (10-9, 1-3) but the Cardinals stormed back with 11 straight points to tie the game.  The rest of the first half would remain tight and featured four ties and 4 lead changes before Neosho pulled ahead with a 39-35 lead at the break.
 
For much of the second half the Panthers kept the Cardinals at arm's length maintaining a two or more possession lead. Labette fought back in the final minutes and cut the lead to just 1 point with less than a minute to play.
 
Denise Levine's 3-pointers with 25.6 seconds gave the Panthers a four point lead. The Cardinals would cut the lead to 2 after a pair of free throws with 14.8 on the clock.
 
After a timeout, Labette would foul Mackenzie Dunbar and send her to the line for a one-and-one attempt. Dunbar's first attempt rimmed out and Labette raced down the floor. When their first attempt wouldn't fall the Cardinals Regina Martin's rebound and putback with 3.6 seconds to go tied the game. Olivia Uhrich's 3-point attempt at the buzzer rimmed out forcing overtime.
 
Labette started overtime on an 12-4 run with much of the damage coming at the free throw line. The Cardinals were 12-18 from the free throw line in overtime and 37-50 for the game. The Panthers were just 4-13 from the field in overtime.
 
Denise Levine led the Panthers with 18 points while Olivia Uhrich scored 17 and Hailey Mayfield had 11. Madigan Gonzales  posted her first double-double of the season scoring 10 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in the loss.
 
The Panthers will look to snap their season long four game losing streak Wednesday (Jan. 21) when they travel to Fort Scott Community College for the first of a stretch of three straight road games.
