CHANUTE, Kan. –
BJ Jenkins led five Panthers in double figures as Neosho extended their win streak to a season best 8 straight with a 105-71 win over Friends University Monday night.
Jenkins was red hot in the first half as they sophomore guard scored all his game high 23 points in the opening period. He connected on a career high seven 3-pointers on just 7 attempts and added a layup to stay perfect from the floor.
That hot shooting for Neosho wasn't just limited to Jenkins as the rest of the team combined to shoot a blistering 75% in the half including 69% from beyond the 3-point line. The Panthers parlayed the hot shooting into a 62-34 halftime lead.
The second half it was
Garin Vandiver that got hot. Vandiver scored 14 of his career high 18 points in the second half. He also grabbed 10 rebounds in the game for his first career double-double.
Point guard duo
Jackson Perez and
Deshawn Terrell combined for just seven points but each of them dished out 10 assists as the Panthers finished with a season high 33 assists as a team.
The Panthers busy stretch of games continues Wednesday when they travel to Fort Scott for the first of three straight road games.
