Box Score LEE'S SUMMIT, Mo. – Neosho played their second straight five set match Monday night but this time they found themselves on the short end of the fifth game as they fell on the road to MCC-Longview 20-25, 25-18, 25-17, 20-25, 17-19.
After dropping the first set to the Lakers, Neosho stormed back and took the second and third sets convincingly despite committing nine hitting errors in those sets alone. The offensive struggles would prove too much to overcome however as the Panthers committed six errors while tallying only 9 kills in the fourth, hitting just .083. In the fifth and decisive set the Panthers again committed six errors while falling 19-17.
Freshman middle
Mackenzie Brown had a big game for the Panthers in the loss. Brown hit a career best .478 while racking up 12 kills and a career high 8 blocks, 6 of them solo.
Katy Rhodd notched her first career double-double as she finished with a career high 15 kills to go with 12 digs.
Brea May also recorded a double-double, her fourth of the season; with 45 assists and a career high 15 digs.
The Panthers (10-7, 2-2) will have their hands full Wednesday night when they look to get back above .500 in conference play against No. 11 Cowley (10-5, 4-0) with the match beginning at 6:30.
