Hannah Jones scored a career high 16 points and two other Panthers finished in double figures as Neosho (6-5, 0-0) knocked off Fort Scott (7-4, 0-0) 68-49.

The Panthers and Greyhounds came into Tuesday night's game with very similar stats all across the board. The only real advantage went to Fort Scott who entered the game with a sizeable advantage with a +15 rebound margin.

The Panther were solid on the glass and outrebounded the Greyhounds 35-34.
Madigan Gonzales led the Panthers with 10. The 49 points allowed tied the fewest scored by an opponent this season and the fewest since a 71-49 win opening night against Ottawa University JV.Â

Neosho was even more effective holding down Fort Scott leading scorer Carlie Wilhelmi who came into the game averaging 12 points a game. The Neosho defense limited Wilhelmi's touches as she scored just three points while only attempting 2 shots.

The Panthers clung to a 4 point lead at halftime but exploded in the second half, outscoring the Greyhounds 40-25 in the second period.

Hannah Jones scored 10 of her 16 points in the first half and added 3 rebounds.
Autumn Lipscomb and
Olivia Uhrich each scored 11 to join Jones in double figures. Uhrich scored all 11 of her points in the second half while connecting on 3-5 from beyond the 3-point line.

Neosho's next action will be following Thanksgiving when they travel to Hutchinson for the Thanksgiving Classic. They will take on Dodge City Friday afternoon and host Hutchinson Saturday.
