Panthers down Highland for 11th straight win.

Box Score Riding their longest winning streak 2006 when they won 16 games in a row, the Panthers inched one step closer with a win Wednesday night. The Panthers made quick work of Highland winning in straight sets 25-18, 25-18, and 25-13 for their eleventh consecutive win.

The Panthers used a balanced attack to pick up the conference road win. None of the Panthers reached double digits in kills, but five different players recorded 5 or more. They were led by Tasha Wampler who tallied nine kills while hitting .615 for the night.

For the first time this season, the Panthers were led in digs by someone other than Whitney Gifford. Wednesday night it was Carolina Alfonso digging out 14 balls as the Scotties tried to tip repeatedly against the stout Panther defense.

The win improves the Panthers to 17-5 overall and 4-1 in conference play, 1 game behind leaders Cowley and Johnson County. They will be off this weekend and then back in action Monday night when they host Northeastern Oklahoma A&M at 6:30pm.
