Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Neosho had been in this position before.  The Panthers were one win away from heading back to Grand Junction, Colorado and the Junior College World Series.  Neosho slipped up on Monday night, losing out on their first chance to clinch a birth thanks to a 5-3 loss at the hands of Coffeyville Community College.  That loss set up a winner take all finale on Tuesday night.  Neosho will be heading back to Colorado after defeating Coffeyville 7-3 in the Region VI Championship Tournament final.  Neosho becomes just the 2nd team in KJCCC history to go to the World Series in back to back years.

In Monday nights game, Coffeyville jumped out to an early 3-0 lead thanks to a 2 out error in the bottom of the 2nd inning.  Neosho answered with 1 in the 3rd on an RBI groudout by Connor Goedert, and an RBI single by Bobby Wernes.  Coffeyville would extend the lead to 5-2 by pushing across runs in the 5th inning and the 8th inning.  Neosho rallied in the top of the 9th, scoring a run on an RBI single from Colby Smith.  Neosho had runners on 1st and 3rd trailing 5-3, but couldn't score and Coffeyville was victorious.

On Tuesday's winner take all contest, Neosho jumped out to a 4-0 lead thanks to a pair of Coffeyville errors and a beautiful double squeeze by Bobby Wernes.  Coffeyville answered with 3 runs of their own in the bottom of the 4th to cut the deficit to 4-3.  Neosho again answered the bell as they plated 2 in the 5th thanks to another sqeeze by Wernes and a long double by Connor Goedert.  The Panthers tacked on one more insurance run in the 9th off an RBI single from Colby Smith, to make the score 7-3.  Chance Sinclair picked up the win for Neosho, throwing a complete game scattering 7 hits and striking out 6.  

Neosho takes the field again on May 26th in Grand Junction, Colorado at the Junior College World Series.  The game time and opponent has not been set, but the games will be played at Suplezio Field in Grand Junction.
