Box Score Facing their third consecutive ranked opponent, the Neosho County Panthers fell to Butler 4-0 in a Jayhawk Conference match.
The Grizzlies entered the match having won nine of their last 10 matches while the Panthers had lost two in a row. Butler jumped all over the Panthers in the early minutes of the match, scoring twice in the first five minutes. The Grizzlies would add another goal in the 35
th minute to take a 3-0 lead at halftime. The Panthers would hold the Grizzlies to one goal in the second half but the Panthers were unable to get on the board.
Breanna Williams recorded 12 saves in goal for the Panthers, as they were outshot by the Grizzlies 24-0.
Neosho falls to 2-8-1 on the year and 1-6-1 in conference play. They play a pair of home conference matches this week as they host Pratt Friday (Oct. 11) at 5pm and Cloud County Sunday (Oct. 13) at 2pm.
