The Panthers went on the road and took three of four games from Highland Community College over the weekend.
Neosho County jumped out to an early lead in the first after
Jordan Miller walked to lead off the game. After a single and a sacrifice bunt, Miller would score on an RBI groundout by
Garrett Schaede.
That would be all the offense that
Matt Strahm would need as the lefty tossed his eighth complete game of the season allowing only five hits and a walk while striking out seven. It is the second shutout of the season and a school record tying fourth of his career.
The Panthers would tack on a pair of insurance runs in the sixth thanks to a squeeze bunt and a wild pitch.
Game two would prove to be an interesting one for both teams. The Panthers would once again score in the first after back to back doubles by
David Bote and
Garrett Schaede.
They would score twice more in the second inning.
Kas Sanders would drive in the first run with an RBI double. They would plate another run on a squeeze bunt by

Highland would answer back with three runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth thanks to three fielding errors on the Panthers.
Neosho County would regain the lead in the fifth when
Connor Kohlscheen walked and continued on to second allowing
Garrett Schaede to steal home. Heavy rains would halt the game at that point however. Strong storms overnight would force the game to be resumed on Monday.
When play finally resumed, the Panthers would score a pair of runs in the sixth and seventh innings to pull away for the 8-4 victory.
Adam Giacalone would retake the mound looking to complete what he had started two days before. After allowing a solo homerun in the bottom of the fifth, he would settle in and finish the ballgame allowing a four runs, only two of which were earned in his 7.0 innings of work while walking none and striking out seven. The win ties Giacalone for the school record with 16 career wins on the mound.
The third game of the series would start the same way the first two had, with the Panthers scoring in the first inning. This time they would score twice, the first on an RBI single by
Garrett Schaede to score
Jordan Miller who led off the game with a single, and the second on a wild pitch allowing
Adam Giacalone to score.
Daniel Peterson got the start for the Panthers and picked up the win tossing 6.0 innings and allowing two runs on five hits while striking out six and walking two. His only blemish came in the second inning when he allowed both of his runs on three hits.
Neosho would regain the lead with a run in the sixth when

David Bote.
They would add a pair of insurance runs in the sixth with an RBI double by
Jordan Miller and an RBI single by Bote.
Max Ising would come on to close the ballgame out for the Panthers tossing a scoreless seventh to pick up his fourth save of the season.
For the fourth game in a row the Panthers would score in the first as they plated two runs with RBI's from
Garrett Schaede and
Nick Feighner.
That would be all the scoring the Panthers would manage as they could not capitalize on nine hits in the ballgame.
Chance Sinclair allowed five run, only two of which were earned, while striking out two in his 4.2 innings of work.
Tanner Dahl tossed 1.1 innings of hitless relief while striking out two.
