Panthers out run Ft. Scott

Neosho County Community College Panthers outran Ft. Scott Community College Greyhounds to a 96-72 victory in Ft. Scott, Kansas on Wednesday night. The win takes the Panthers record to 9-6 in the KJCCC East and 15-12 overall on the season.
The Panthers got the game started the game on a 12-4 run, that included a
Raymond Jeter (Columbia, SC) to
Jerry Sipple (Kansas City, KS) backdoor alley-oop dunk, and a
Brett Jones (Kansas City, KS) fastbreak slam.
Two technical fouls on the Greyhounds allowed the Panthers push their lead to double digits by the under 10 minute media timeout.
Neosho County would finish the first half on a 24-5 run to take a 58-23 lead into the locker room at half.
In the first half the Panthers shot a hot 52 percent from the field.
Fort Scott kept fighting and outscored the Panthers 49-38 in the second half. For the game the Panthers shot 49 percent while Ft. Scott shot 38 percent from the field.
The Panthers had four players in double figures, led by
Thomas Drew (Grand Rapids, MI) with 17 and
Brison White (Wichita, KS) with 16. “Slim”
Gregoryshon Magee (New Orleans, LA) and
Antonio Buchanan (Wichita, KS) both added 10 points.
The Panthers return home this Saturday night, February 25
th, to face Highland Community College. Neosho County defeated Highland 95-84 at Highland on January 25
th. Tip-off is scheduled for 8pm.
