Nolen’s 30 points leads NCCC past Bethel College.

Box Score The Neosho County Panthers took to the road for the first time this season to take on Bethel College Saturday (Nov. 17) night. Neosho County improved to 5-0 on the year with a 100-54 win behind Jeremy Nolen's 30 point night.

The Panthers struggled with the Threshers last week trailing by as many as 17 points in the first half before clawing their way back for a win. Saturday the Panthers had no such trouble with the Threshers as they used stifling defense to jump out to a big first half lead and never looked back. The Panthers led 53-17 at the break thanks to Jeremy Nolen's strong first half. The Southwest Baptist transfer poured in 24 first half points to lead the Panthers.

With the big first half lead, Jeremy Coombs was able to use the second half to try out some different combinations of players. After Nolen carried the bulk of the offensive load in the first half, the Panthers used a balanced attack in the second half to put the Threshers away for good. Mark Gray led the Panthers with seven second half points while 7 different Panthers scored at least 5 points in the half.

Nolen's 30 points led the Panthers for the game while D'Marco Smith joined him in double figures with 11. The Panthers will be back in action Tuesday (Nov. 20) when they head back out on the road to take on Missouri State University-West Plains before heading to the Barton Community College classic next weekend. They will play host Barton County Friday (Nov. 23) at 7:00pm before taking on Brown Mackie College Saturday at 3:00 pm.
