The Neosho County Panthers dropped a Region VI game Monday at the hands of No. 12 Kansas City Kansas Community College. The Panthers struggled with the Blue Devils length on the night as they hit -.029 as a team for the match.
The Blue Devils would come out on fire in the first set as they cruised to a 25-4 win in the set. The Panthers would make some adjustments before the second set but it would not be enough as they would fall 25-16. In the third set they tried to rally and extend the match, but would come up short, falling 25-20.
Yuleika Jimenez would lead the Panthers with 13 kills while only hitting .171 for the night. She would be the only Panther to finish with a positive hitting percentage. Jimenez would also see her streak of seven straight double-doubles come to an end as she only recorded seven digs.
Katie Jensen and
Mollie Ravnikar played well defensively for the Panthers. Jensen led the Panthers with 18 digs while Ravnikar had a career high six solo blocks.
The Panthers are now 17-11 and 4-3 in conference play. They will be back in action when they host Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on Wednesday at 6:30pm.
