Northeastern Oklahoma A&M sneaks past Panthers in five.

Box Score Box Score

For the third time this season it took five games for Neosho County and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M to decide a winner. Unfortunately for the Panthers, however, they would find themselves on the wrong end of the score for the third time as well falling 25-18, 22-25, 25-18, 24-26, and 11-15.

Just like the last time the two teams squared off, the Panthers would take games one and three while NEO would take games two, four and five. After winning the third game in convincing fashion, the fourth game would prove to be the pivotal one in the match. The Panthers scored what they thought would make it match point, only to have it waived off after they were ruled to be in the net. NEO would rally back and take the fourth set before going on to take the match.

Two days after Yuleika Jimenez saw her streak of double-doubles come to an end; she would record yet another one. Jimenez would finish the night with 27 kills while only committing 6 errors on 59 chances. She would also rack up 21 digs on the night making it her first 20-20 game.

Setter Laura Broadfoot would also post a double-double with her 38 assists and 11 digs. Mollie Ravnikar was great on the defensive side of the net as she finished with a career high 11 blocks including nine solo blocks in the match.

Libero Katie Jensen also played well in the match as she tallied 26 digs to go with an ace and a pair of kills.

The Panthers are now 17-12 overall on the season with the loss. The Panthers will head to St. Louis for the weekend to play their last tournament of the season. They will face a pair of conference foes in Coffeyville and Fort Scott sandwiched between games with East Central College and Southwestern Illinois. Game times Friday are set for 3:00 and 7:00 pm, and Saturday at 9:00am and 1:00pm.
