Ben Jacks tossed four innings of relief allowing only a pair of runs, and Adam Giacalone blasted his fourth grand slam of the year, but it was not enough to overcome an early deficit.
The Panther's got on the board first with a single run in the first inning, but the Saints answered right back with four of their own and never looked back. They would tack on two more runs in the third to extend their lead to 6-1.
After the two teams traded runs in the fourth, the Panthers battled back to within a run on Giacalone's grand slam. That is all the runs they would manage however and Seward County would tack on an insurance run in the eighth.
Seward starting pitcher Logan Hall earned the win tossing 8 2/3 innings of work while striking out eight.
