Game 1
For the fourth game in a row Matt Strahm tossed a complete game picking up his sixth win of the year. The lefty allowed only two runs while scattering six hits over his seven innings of work, and has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last four starts.
Garrett Schaede led the charge offensively going 2-4 at the plate with a double and a homerun, while Caleb Compton scored two runs while going 2-3 at the plate. Austen Colt and Adam Giacalone each belted homeruns while Taylor Smith came off the bench to blast his first homerun of the season.
Game 2
Austen Colt finished his strong weekend performance with a bang as the sophomore belted homeruns in each of his first three at bats. Colt would hit a solo homerun in the first, a two run homerun in the third, and a three run homerun in the fifth. Colt Would finish the game 4-6 with three homerun, six RBI's and three runs scored. Nick Doughty belted another homerun as well.
Nick Fowble picked up the win in relief tossing 2.1 innings of scoreless relief while allowing only one hit.
The Neosho County offense was firing on all cylinders as they scored 45 runs on the weekend while recording 47 hits including 14 homeruns to sweep the Labette Cardinals over the weekend. The four wins push the Panthers current win streak to a season long nine games, while they have also won 21 of their last 23 games. The Panthers are now 29-9 overall and 19-5 in conference play.
