Biography
#5 Tyler steps onto campus and into the footsteps of big brother Jordan Hickert who played for the panthers this past season and has moved on to Eastern Washington. Tyler is from Bunbury Australia in Western Australia. Tyler has played on the national level and competed very well. He was invited to play for the all Australian 17 and under squad; he was a Nike All Asia Camp invitee where he won the Nike All Asia Camp All-star award. He toured with the AIS touring Squad this past summer. He also played for the Under 20 WA state team and was the leading scorer, rebounder.
Coach says enjoy this Hickert while he’s here: “Basketball is in the Hickert blood and we are very lucky to have Tyler here. Tyler has played at very high levels and is a young man that several NCAA D1 schools would love to ink. Tyler will play this one season with us and then move one to play 3 years at a 4 yr University. I expect a lot out of Tyler and I’m sure he will be great for us this year.”
