The Neosho women's soccer team battled to a 1-1 draw against Barton Community College on Sunday afternoon at home.
Barton opened the scoring in the 20th minute, but the Panthers responded quickly in the 33rd minute when
Halle Dolphin scored the equalizer off a cross from
Paola Salas. Neither team was able to find a winning goal over the final 57 minutes.
Barton finished the game with 11 shots to our 4. Despite facing consistent pressure, Constance Azevedo delivered an outstanding performance in goal to keep us in the game.
With a 1-0-1 record, the Panthers now hit the road to face
Western Iowa Tech before traveling to
Central Community College in Nebraska. This trip will provide a great opportunity for the team to compete against strong opponents and continue building chemistry and gain confidence to face our first Conference game against Allen Community College on September 5
th at home.
