Joplin, MO - The Neosho County men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Missouri Southern Stampede, Saturday, Sept. 20th. Both the men's and women's team had stellar performances that resulted in a number of National Qualifiers. The men's team ran the 3rd fastest team time all time in 28:05 to earn a trip to the National Championships as a team. Denner Dos Santos moved himself to number 8 all time in school history in the 8k with his performance of 27:32. Noah Laird lead the men's team with his second fastest time all time, the day saw almost every Panther have personal best performances for the distance. 

The women were led by Bethany Barger with a time of 20:24 good enough to move herself to #3 all-time for the lady Panthers and the 5th fastest time run in school history. The time also earned her a trip to the National Championships with the Men's team. The National Championships are to be help in Fort Dodge, Iowa on Saturday November, 8th.

Next up for the Panthers is the Home Cross Country meet Friday, October 3rd at Santa Fe Park. The team looks to defend their home turf and make some more big strides forward towards being the best team in Neosho County history.
