Beatrice, NE - Neosho County Community College delivered a commanding performance on the road as they cruised to a 9-1 victory over Southeast Community College in Nebraska on Saturday afternoon.
From the opening whistle, Neosho set the tone with relentless pressure and clinical finishing. Star forward
Katie Smart led the charge with an astonishing
four-goal haul, showcasing her pace, precision, and killer instinct in front of goal.
Joining the scoring spree was
Lily Beck, who netted an impressive
hat-trick, finding pockets of space in the final third and making the most of every opportunity presented.
Freya Stevenson added her name to the scoresheet with a composed finish, while
Halle Dolphin rounded out the scoring with a well-taken goal that capped off Neosho's dominant display.
Despite the scoreline, Southeast CC showed heart throughout the match and managed to pull one back in the second half, avoiding the shutout and giving their home crowd something to cheer about.
