Chanute, KS - After two unforgettable years at Neosho County Community College,
Tiara Hozumi is headed to
Georgia Southwestern State University to continue her academic and athletic journey. Hozumi was recently honored as a
First Team All-Conference selection and named the
Jayhawk Conference Defensive Player of the Year, a reflection of her tenacious effort, unmatched energy, and relentless commitment on the defensive end of the floor. Known for her lockdown defense, hustle plays, and never-back-down attitude, Tiara became a cornerstone of
The Neosho Way and a fan favorite every time she stepped on the court.
"Tiara left everything she had out there — every single day," said Head Coach J.J. Davis. "She didn't just play defense — she set the tone, raised the standard, and brought a contagious fire that changed the game for us. Georgia Southwestern is getting an elite competitor, a proven winner, and someone who will elevate any locker room." As one of the most beloved and impactful players to wear the Panther uniform in recent years,
Tiara Hozumi's legacy at Neosho will be felt long after her final game. The program proudly celebrates her next chapter at the NCAA Division II level.
