Tonkawa, OK - Neosho County men's basketball came up short on the road Tuesday night, falling 87–64 to a sharp-shooting NOC Tonkawa squad. Despite a strong early effort, the Panthers were unable to slow Tonkawa's offensive rhythm and spent much of the second half playing catch-up.
Neosho County saw several bright spots in the loss, with multiple players contributing impactful performances:
- Adyn Prophete powered the Panthers with 14 points and 8 rebounds, battling on both ends of the floor.
- Cooper Weeks led the team in scoring with 16 points while adding 4 rebounds, providing a consistent offensive spark.
- Champ Powaukee added 11 points, giving Neosho a needed boost from the backcourt.
- Jayce Cooper put together a strong all-around performance with 10 points and 9 rebounds, narrowly missing a double-double.
- Raziel Taylor facilitated the offense effectively, posting 7 points and a team-high 6 assists.
Despite these standout efforts, Tonkawa's efficiency and depth proved difficult to overcome as they secured the 23-point victory.
