Men's Basketball Outlast Redlands

Chanute, KS - Neosho County men's basketball capped off the first half of its season with a high-energy, high-scoring victory on its home floor, defeating Redlands Community College 92–88 on Tuesday night. The win showcases the Panthers' offensive firepower and resilience as they head into winter break with momentum.

Caraballo lead the charge, The sophomore guard delivered a standout performance, pouring in 31 points while adding 3 steals. Caraballo's shot-making and defensive pressure set the tone early and proved critical down the stretch as Redlands made multiple late pushes. Forward Champ Powaukee also turned in a strong performance with a double-double, finishing with 21 points and 10 rebounds. His physical presence in the paint, followed by outside shooting, helped Neosho County control key possessions and generate second-chance opportunities. Running the offense with poise, Raziel Taylor contributed 20 points, 7 assists, and an impressive 70% shooting performance from the field. Taylor's efficiency kept the Panthers' offense humming and opened up scoring lanes for his teammates. Rounding out out the strong effort on the night Jayce Cooper added 9 points and 10 rebounds, providing essential energy on both ends of the floor and helping Neosho County secure important rebounds in tight moments.

After a well-earned winter break, Neosho County will return to action on January 10, hosting Ottawa University at 3:00 p.m. in Chanute. The Panthers enter the break with confidence and a growing identity built on balance, toughness, and timely plays.
