Atchinson, KS - The Panthers traveled on Friday Nov, 7th and went 1-1 at the Loosbrock Duals, hosted by Benedictine College. Defeating Colby Community College 44-11 and losing to NCAAII Quincy University 41-11.
Against Colby at 133
Tanner Putt (Fr. Carthage, MO) started the Panthers off with a fall over Tevin Jackson at 125.
Evan Coble (So. Severy, KS) kept the momentum going with a 12-2 major decision over Sebastian Rodriguez at 141 followed by another fall by
Kasen Smith (So. Gardner, KS) over Scottty Engle at 149. At 157
Caden Smith (So. Gardner, KS) also won by fall over Ayden Wohlgemuth.
Kelton Howard (So. Benell, FL) picked up an 11-2 major decision over Robert Cazares at 165, followed by another fall at 174 by
Josh Moreau (Fr. Spokane, WA) over Gunner Owens.
Maleek Ayonrinde (Sr. Owings Mills, MD) continued the winning streak with a fall over Kash Ally and
Draven Pipkin (So. Spring Hill, KS) won by forfeit.
In the duel against NCAA II Quincy University,
Evan Coble (So. Severy, KS) won by fall over Bryce Edwards at 141 and
Kelton Howard (So. Benell, FL) won a 21-5 technical fall over Tate Miller.
The Panthers will see some strong competition coming up as they travel Baldwin City on Nov. 9
th to compete in the Dan Harris Open hosted by Baker University. Wrestling begins at 9:00 am.
