Chanute, KS - The Neosho Wrestling team honored their Sophomores on Wednesday Jan. 29th at their last home meet of the season as they hosted #4 Fort Hays Tech Northwest and #8 Pratt.
Dylan Waggerman (So. Paola, KS),
Hunter Jennings (So. Southern Boone, MO),
Jonathan Perryman (So. Lebanon, MO) and
Jess Hall (So. Coffyville, KS) were all recognized for their commitment to the Panther Wrestling Program.
The Panthers faced some tough competition and lost 33-16 to Tech and 45-12 to Pratt.
Against Fort Hays Tech Northwest at 133
Evan Coble (Fr. Howard, KS) won by forfeit.
Kasen Smith ( Fr. Gardner, KS) wrestled well and picked up a fall over Tucker Wark at 149 and
Hunter Jennings (So. Southern Boone, MO) won a 17-6 major decision over Micah Castro at 157.
In the duel against Pratt,
Dylan Waggerman (So. Paola, KS) made quick work of Peyton Besco with a first period fall at 184 and
Draven Pipkin (Fr. Spring Hill, KS) followed with another fall over Raymond Gary Hernandez at 197
The Panthers will close out their dual meet J-Hawk Conference schedule on Wednesday, Feb 5
th as they take on Labette in Parsons, KS. Wrestling begins at 6:30 pm.
