Softball Downs Cloud to Finish Regular Season

Chanute, KS - It was a pitching duel game one for the Panthers and Cloud. The bats were quiet until the sixth. Jessic Petric would single and then steal second base. Emma West would single on a bunt, moving Petric over to third. Petric would then steal home and make the score 1-0. Braxton Stainbrook would come up and hit a two run home run, extending the score 3-0. Eleanor Rieck earned the win in the circle going all seven innings. Rieck surrendered three hits and zero runs, while walking zero and a season high strikeout of six. The Panthers would take the win over Cloud with a score of 3-0. 

In game two the Panthers opened up the scoring in the bottom of the first with two home runs. The first a solo shot by Emma West to centerfield. The second came from Annsleigh Morris who hit a three run shot. The Panthers kept going in the bottom of the second. Brinly Bancroft hit a three run home run, Addyson Easter doubled, scoring one run, Caitlyn Myers grounded out, but scored one run, and Morris singled, scoring another run. Bancroft and Myers each scored a run in the bottom of the third, then Morris went deep once again, scoring three. KeaLeigh Mount would single in the bottom of the fourth and Audrey Dewey would hit a two run home run. Brenli Solano earned the win in the circle for the Panthers. Solano allowed two hits and zero runs, striking out four and walking one. Logan Cates would come in and close the game, allowing zero hits, zero walks, and striking out two. This ended the regular season for the Panthers coming away with an impressive 17-0 win.
