Tonkawa, OK - Panthers run away with pair of games over NOC Tonkawa to move to .500 on the season.
The Panthers took the road for the first time this season to Tonkawa, Oklahoma to face NOC Tonk. Game one was taken by the Panthers in five innings. The Panthers scored their first runs in the top of the 1st inning when Addyson Easter gets to 2nd base on an error to the outfield. Braxton Stainbrook would get hit by pitch and make her way to first. Annsleigh Morris would come up and hit a double, scoring Easter for the first run of the game. With Stainbrook on third and Morris on 2nd, Caitlyn Myers would hit a three run-homerun making the score 4-0 in the top of the first. The third inning was huge for the Panthers when Emma West singled on a ground ball to the third baseman to get things started. Easter, Stainbrook, and Morris would hit back-to-back-to-back homeruns, making the score 8-1. The Panthers would go on to score two more runs in the third going up 10-1. NOC Tonk would answer back with a few runs of their own, but couldn't push more than two across. The Panthers took game one 13-3.Â
Game two would go to the Panthers again in just five innings. Braxton Stainbrook would light things up hitting a two run homerun in the first inning. The Panthers ended up scoring five right out of the gate. Addyson Easter would go on to hit a two run homerun on a full count in the second inning. The Panthers were up 7-0 going into the third when Carsyn McCue hits a solo homer to left field. Lainey Howard would single and then go on to score after Easter reached on an error. With Easter on first, Stainbrook comes up and isn't done yet when she hits another homerun scoring Easter and herself. NOC Tonk would push two across the board in the fifth inning, however, your Panthers would go on to take game two 11-2. With two five inning games, your Panthers had a huge day at the plate hitting 8 homeruns and scoring a total of 24 runs. The Panthers will be back in action on Friday, February 23rd where they will host State Fair.
