Chanute, KS - The Neosho County Men's basketball team beat Kansas Wesleyan at home Tuesday night 70-68 to improve their record to 2-1 on the season. The score at halftime was 31-31, before the Panther's outscored KWU 39-37 in the 2
nd half. The Panther's led by as many as 11 in the 2
nd half.
Neosho County was led in scoring by redshirt freshman
Fari Joseph with 22 points. Other Panther's scoring in double figures were freshman
Champ Powaukee with 12 points, freshman
Adyn Prophete with 11 points, and redshirt sophomore
Aaron Doria with 10 points. Doria led the Panther's in rebounding with 12, and also had 4 assists. Freshman
Liam Huntington also had 4 assists for Neosho County.
The Panther's resume play with a game at Independence Community College on Friday. On Saturday they will host North Central Missouri College at 4:00 P.M.
