Chanute, KS - The Panthers did well in their first week of Region Play, tallying a record of 2-1. Those wins coming over Allen County and Fort Scott. The single loss was a region opener against Kansas City Kansas. The Panthers have been battling throughout the first week having all of the games come down to a couple of possessions.
In the KCK, the Panthers had 4 players put up double figures with the leader of that group being
Michael Doria with 16 points and making 4 from long range. Others were
Shaun Holmes,
Isaiah Howell, and
Peter Obeng.
In the other two games, the Panthers picked up 2 big wins thanks to some hot shooting from deep.
Michael Doria and
Elgin Govan had 5 3's combined to help seal those wins.
Isaiah Howell was also a monster having 30 points and 25 rebounds over that stretch.
