Chanute, KS - The Panthers softball team hosted the Red Ravens of Coffeyville for a Thursday double header. The Panthers came away victorious in both outings.
Game 1: Neosho County ended the game in five innings, defeating the Red Ravens 10-1. The Panthers started things in the first inning when
Hannah Duin singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run. The Panthers notched four runs in the third innings.
Logan Cates got the start in the circle for the Panthers, pitching five innings allowing two hits and one run while striking out eight. The Panther offense was led by Carysn McCue going 2 - for - 2.

Devynn Raile singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. The Panthers pushed two more runs across to take the 3-0 lead. The Red Ravens answered back with 3 of their own in the third inning. The Panthers began to pull away after scoring two in the third, five in the fourth, and picking up the run-rule win after pushing one more across in the fifth.
