Chanute, KS - The Neosho Panthers have been waiting for a game like this for a while. In what was a back and forth battle all night, Hesston appeared to grab ahold of the game by taking an 8 point lead with 8 minutes remaining. NCCC had been in this position before with disappointing results, but this time responded with a 16-0 run themselves, ignited by sophomore guard
Michael Odingo, who scored 5 straight and 8 of their 16 points over a 3 minute span. Neosho never looked back on their way to a 14 point victory.
The Panthers got quality performances by a number of players, but were led by freshman big man
Peter Obeng. Obeng completely dominated the paint for the home team, finishing with 13 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 0 turnovers.
Traymond Willis-Shaw was the high point man for Neosho, contributing an impressive 21 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks.
