Chanute, Ks. - The combination of shooting 48% for the game along with a 52-point second half from Connors doomed the Neosho women's basketball team as they fell to the Cowgirls by the score of 111-83 to end the Panther's 10-game winning streak.
Neosho was abysmal from the field all night, finishing 30-84 and only going 12 of 36 from behind the arch. The Panthers did shoot 72.2% from the line.
Neosho was able to force 23 turnovers and came away with 12 steals.
Neosho will have just over three weeks before their next game as the Panthers will kick off 2024 traveling to Fulton, MO on January 4
th to take on Westminister Blue Jays, and then will host Bethel College on January 9
th. Both games are set to tip at 5:30 p.m.
Jahniya Brown led the way with 17 points and 15 rebounds, recording another double-double, while
Cayanna Stanley had 15 points, shooting 4-7 from behind the arc.
