Chanute, KS - In what was an exciting first half that saw multiple lead changes, Kansas City Kansas Community College took control of the game in the final 6 minutes of the first half, using an 18-5 run over that time to take a 12 point lead going into halftime. They never looked back, using efficient shooting (51% FGs) and a decisive rebounding edge (41-30) on their way to a 79-60 victory on Saturday afternoon.
           
Neosho County were led by freshman guard Tane Kirisome, who finished with 18 points on 7/11 shooting from the field and an impressive 4/5 from 3Pt range. 6'8" forward Traymond Willis-Shaw chipped in with 14 points on 5/11 FGs.
           
NCCC will continue region play at home against Johnson County on Wednesday evening.
