Arkansas City, KS - The Panthers traveled to Cowley County Community College in Arkansas City, KS on Tuesday evening and fell 30-15.
Junior Camacho (So., Wichita, KS) picked up a forfeit at 125, but the Tigers came back and took the next 2 bouts by fall.
Jace Tapia (Fr. Bonner Springs, KS) then won a 6-2 at 157 followed by a #7 ranked
Jake Knowles (So. El Dorado, KS) with a 5-1 decision.
Kael Lane (So. Ottawa, KS) also won his match at 184 with a 2-0 decision.
Coach Hansen said, "We didn't wrestle to win tonight. We gave up too many bonus points and did not pick up bonus points where we had the opportunity. We did not wrestle to our potential. Hopefully we can make this a learning experience."
Next up the Panthers will travel to Miami, OK and compete at the NJCAA National Duals on the 13
th and 14
th of January.
