Box Score The Neosho women's soccer team faced a tough test against KCK in the conference opener. Neosho conceded early on after giving the ball away near the halfway line, which led to a quick counterattack and resulted in a goal after the initial shot was saved and the rebound was slotted home. Neosho conceded a couple of very avoidable goals in quick succession to find themselves down 3-0 at half time. In the second half Neosho responded well and were awarded a penalty kick after a foul in box, the goalkeeper from KCK made a great save to keep the score 3-0. KCK further extended their lead off of a free kick to make it 4-0. Neosho battled on for the rest of the game and were able to pull a goal back with seconds remaining from Emily Englebert. Neosho will look to bounce back on the road against Hutchinson this Saturday, September 10th.
