Chanute, KS- The Neosho County Women's basketball team notched their seventh conference win of the season with an 79-86 victory over the visiting Kansas City Kansas Community College.
The first half was tightly played, with the two being tied to end the first, 15-15, and second quarters, 35-35. The Panthers came out on fire in the third quarter, outscoring the KCKCC Blue Devils 30-19, closing the quarter with an 11-point advantage. The Blue Devils made a run in the fourth, but it was not enough to top the Panthers.
Jenna Eytcheson led the Panthers in scoring with 19 points, shooting 5-7 from beyond the arc.
Sarah Hunt poured in 18 points.
Im'Unique White added 13 points and 6 rebounds.
Zariyah Washington and
Haley Perkins each chipped in 7 points, Washington also had 8 assists.
Chantoryia Rivers grabbed herself 11 rebounds and 6 points.
The Panthers (18-7 Overall, 7-4 KJCCC) return to conference play on Saturday, February 19
th when they host the Johnson County Cavaliers (25-1 Overall, 9-1 KJCCC). Tip off set for 2:00 PM.
