Chanute, KS - Neosho County Men's Basketball find themselves 1 and 1after a tough loss to Kansas Wesleyan. The Panthers started the game with strong defense and led by 5 at haltime, but KW came out in the 2^nd half and found their shot, turning things around to build a 12 point lead with 10 minutes remaining. Neosho responded by chipping away at that deficit with multiple 3-pointers by both Derrick Wiley and Traymond Willis-Shaw, and were able to take a 2 point lead with 30 seconds remaining. Kansas Wesleyan came back with a 3 of their own to go up by 1, and Dariq Williams wasn't able to get his shot to fall in the closing seconds, resulting in free throws for the coyotes, giving them a 75-72 hard fought win.
           
NCCC will go on the road on Tuesday November 8^th to face a tough Barton team.
 
Game Notes
The Panthers were led by Derrick Wiley who finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Shaun Holmes, Traymond Willis-Shaw, and Dariq Williams all finished in double figures, but inefficient shooting cost the team as only Jaaron Harriot shot above 50 percent from the field.
