Box Score Panther lose 3-1 in a close contested gameĀ

Neosho women's soccer played JCCC in a conference match up on Wednesday evening at the Chanute Soccer complex

How it happened;

NeoshoĀ Lady Panthers started the game strong with an early chance from Riley Kennedy that was smartly saved from the JCCC keeper. The first half was a close contested game in which both teams tried to push to open the scoring but neither team could break the deadlock. JCCC opened the scoring shortly before half time with a smart finish past Ursula Romero. The Panther keeper Ursula Romero made 10 saves in the first half to help the Panthers stay in the game.Ā

The second half opened up and the lady panthers continued their hard work throughout the game. They put together a very strong team performance in which they stood strong against a strong JCCC team. JCCC then scored their second with 20 minutes left of the game, but this did not stop the Panthers. Gabby Moreno then crossed a ball from a corner which was converted by Maite Baldini to leave the game a very shaky 10 minutes for JCCC. But with 20 seconds left JCCC broke through to make the game 3-1.Ā

The Panthers stayed strong and should be very proud of their performance. The Panthers travel to Cowley for their next game Friday evening at 5PM
