Box Score
Neosho County Women's soccer traveled to Great Bend to play Barton CC in a conference match up.

How it happened;

Barton opened up the scoring in the 16th minute through a penalty kick that was given up by the panthers. The penalty was smoothly put into the roof of the goal leaving the panthers goalkeeper Shyanna Reich with no chance of saving the goal.

The Barton Cougars quickly scored another 3 minutes later with some smart play down the left side which was then followed by a strong strike, again leaving the panthers goalkeeper with no chance of saving the ball.

The panthers were battling at 15MPH wind in the first half but continued to fight and push through the adversity. With five minutes left of the half the Barton Cougars made it 3-0 from a corner; but the panthers were not down and out, just 18 seconds later Gabriela Gonzales played a through ball to Emily Englebert who then crossed the ball into the box and Lauren McKoon thrashed the ball away to make the game 3-1.

The second half created many chances for both teams. Eider Alcorta came close with a free kick that skipped wire of the left post. Throughout the tough circumstances of the second half the panthers continued to battle throughout and the game ended with a 3-1 result to the Barton Cougars.

Neosho will host Butler Community College this Wednesday at 5PM in another KJCCC contest
