Game Recap: Women's Basketball |

Panthers Fall to T-Birds in Concordia

The Neosho County Panthers went on the road to Cloud County Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers got off to a sluggish start giving up 30 points in the first quarter. Some of the rust may have been because the Panthers arrived at the gym with forty-five minutes before game time. After a two-hour delay, before being picked up to travel to Concordia and then making four-hour bus ride, the Panthers were not very sharp. They did show some resiliency and bounced back in the second half, but the damage had already been done in the first half. The Panthers ended up falling to the T-Birds 91-55. This loss brings their record to (4-16,3-15) on the season.

Coach JJ Davis' thoughts on the game, "today's game has been like the whole year, adversity. Our young team has seen a lot of adversity and at times it's hard for them to bounce back. But that's a leadership problem and that begins and ends with me. Today we could have folded many times but we still battled in the second half. I am proud of that and proud of the kids who came out and battled. The Panthers will go on the road to Independence for the last regular season game of the 2020-2021 season on Wednesday.
