The Neosho County Panthers traveled to square off with Barton County Community College on Saturday afternoon for KJCCC play. The Panthers had a roller coaster of a week that started after their matchup with Garden City. They had their game postponed on Wednesday with Seward and found out Friday afternoon that they were going to travel to Great Bend to play Barton on Saturday. To make matters worse for the Panthers, they found out before their game that starting point guard
Destiny Stanford would only play a few minutes due to a foot injury.
Â
Head Coach
JJ Davis on the Stanford injury, "losing your starting point guard in this league is a tough situation. I am proud of our team for stepping up and competing. That showed me we have a team full of fighters and that mindset and toughness will pay off for us in the long run".

Game Notes
The Panthers struggled to get going in a long road trip to Barton County. The fourth quarter showed promise for this young panther team. Davis stated, "we are learning to play with pace and if we can continue doing that we are going to put ourselves in a really good spot moving forward". The Panthers are relying on ]three sophomores to create a scoring punch, yet right now it seems like only one scorer is producing each night.
Mike'ya House finished with 13 Points,
Lauren Jones pitched in with 12 points, and
Tanay Williams also finished in double figures with 11 Points and 7 rebounds.
