The Neosho County Community College women's soccer team dropped to 2-1-1 after this weekend's 3-1 loss to Trinidad State JC. The women's program had a busy week with 3 games in the space of 5 days. They started off the week beating NEO A&M 4-1 and then followed it up with a 2-2 double OT tie with Metro CC. The week ended with a tough loss to Trinidad State JC.
The Lady Panthers run out of stream towards the end of the week and after going 1-0 up vs Trinidad gave up 3 goals in the last 20-25 minutes of the game. Freshmen
Miranda Retana did well scoring 3 goals this week. Freshmen goalkeeper
Paige Ellis also had a big performance saving a penalty kick in the 2
nd OT during the Metro CC game to earn the Panthers a tie.
Neosho now 2-1-1 will head into the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play on Wednesday against Coffeyville who are 4-0.
