Box Score The Neosho women's soccer program returns to winning ways after two 2-1 victories this past week. The lady Panthers edged out Southeastern Community College in over time during a non-conference match up earlier this week and then picked up their first conference win with a 2-1 victory over Allen Community College on Saturday.
Both wins were come from behind wins after going 1-0 down, Neosho managed to turn both games around scoring all of their goals in the second half or in OT.
The wind was a huge factor in both games. Neosho started off going against the wind in the first half of both games and did a great job in keeping the score close during the tough spells against the strong wind. In the second half of both games the ladies were able to take control and use the wind to their advantage.
Freshmen
Miranda Retana inspired both come backs as she scored both equalizing goals in each of the games. Sophomore
Isabela Dantas and freshmen
Erica Orellana both grabbed a game winning goal each to give the Panthers the wins over Southeastern and Allen.
Neosho now moves to 4-3-1 overall and 1-2 in the KJCCC. They will be back in action Wednesday night at home as they host the #6 ranked Butler. Game starts at 7:00 P.M.
