Concordia, KS- Neosho Softball would get two wins over Cloud County Community College in an away matchup on Tuesday, April 17th. Neosho would take game one, 6-1. The Panthers got things moving in the first inning, when Alyssa Rogers doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring Libby Horton who was on from a leadoff walk. Kaelee Escoe earned the victory in the circle for the Panthers. She lasted seven innings, allowing 7 hits and only 1 run while striking out a whopping 11. Neosho collected ten hits in the game. Madi Phillips, Rogers, and Sierra Spurlock each racked up multiple hits for the Panthers, with Horton, Stewart, Escoe, and Riley each with a hit of their own.
Kinsley Stewart came to the ballpark and meant business for game 2 on Tuesday, tallying 4 hits with 7 RBI's and leading Neosho to a 12-3 win over Cloud County. Stewart doubled in the first, singled in the second, doubled in the third, and doubled in the fifth. Panther's got things started in the first inning when Stewart drove in Libby Horton, who was on by a walk. Neosho scored five runs in the second inning. Ryleigh Chaffin, Libby Horton, Stewart, and Sierra Spurlock each drove in runs during the inning. Chaffin took the win for Neosho County Community College. She surrendered three runs on four hits over three innings. Kaelee Escoe threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. The Panther's offense collected 13 total hits. Stewart, Horton, and Chaffin each collected multiple hits for Neosho. Rogers, Phillips, Escoe, and McManus all with a hit a piece to contribute to the win. Stewart lead the Panthers with four hits in four at bats.
