The Neosho women's soccer program dropped a tough 4-0 loss to rivals Coffeyville Community College on Sunday night. The game that was originally scheduled for Saturday night was re-scheduled due to heavy rain and lighting.
Instead of rain, wind was a big factor Sunday evening. The Coffeyville Red Ravens scored three goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into half time. The Panthers playing with the wind in their favor were unable to take advantage of it. Neosho came out with a little more fire and intensity in the second half but the deficit was too large to overcome. Coffeyville managed to add a fourth goal at the end for the final score of 4-0.
Neosho will be on the road this Wednesday for their second meeting versus Kansas City Kansas Community College. The Panthers dropped a 3-0 game to the Blue Devils earlier this season.
