CHANUTE – Team captain
Brian Tolefree knocked down a career-high 28 points as the Neosho men's basketball team cruised to a 97-62 win over Bethany College Reserves, Tuesday night at the Panther Gymnasium.
Joining Tolefree in double-digits was Reliford with 26pts and Yang with 13pts and 11reb.
"I thought we had a few guys step up and do their job," Head Coach
Jeremy Coombs said. "We have been working in practice to get guys to do what they do and not play outside of their game and I thought some were better at that tonight."
Panthers put their focus on playing solid defense and taking great shots. This formula helped the Panthers make an early 22-6 run and they never looked back from there.
"We set a few goals to motivate the guys and for stretches of the game I felt we accomplished them". Coombs said. "But we did have some bad stretches and we will address those issues in practice this week."
Coming Up Next:
