Saturday the Panthers made the long trip to Dodge City to meet the Conquistadors for the final time this season. The Panthers took an early 20 to 6 lead in the 1
st quarter, but let off of the gas some in the 2
nd and 3
rd quarters allowing the Conquistadors to score 30 points to the Panthers 31 points in the 2 quarters combined. The 4
th quarter looked much like the 1
st as they Panthers put their foot back on the accelerator scoring 28 points in the final quarter of play and holding Dodge City to only 3. The Panthers lead in almost every statistical category on Saturday and handed Dodge City a 40 point loss, 79-39.
Beth Hawkins led all scorers with 14 points on 4 of 12 shooting from the 3 point line.
Brooke Neal had another outstanding night adding 13 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
Madison Sibert recorded her first double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Panthers are at home on Wednesday as they host the Hutchinson Blue Dragons at 5:30 pm.
