The 3^rd quarter seems to be a tough spot for the Panthers in the last two games. Wednesday at Butler the Panthers were within 9 points at the half and a poor 3^rd quarter lead to their demise. The same could be said for Saturday's game at Independence. The Panthers found themselves down by 15 at the half, a familiar place as they have been their several times this season. This difference on Saturday was they Panthers didn't come out and make a run to get back in the game. The Panthers struggled in the 3^rd quarter only scoring 7 points.  The Pirates 20 3^rd quarter points sealed their victory on Saturday as they beat the Panthers 80-43. The Panthers will host Bacone College JV on Wednesday and then in their final home game on Saturday the Red Ravens from Coffeyville will come to Chanute. Tip time for Bacone will be 5:30pm.
