Chanute KS – Wednesday, November 30th, the Neosho County Community College Panthers lost to the Cloud County Thunderbirds in overtime. The Panthers would start the game out with 15-2 run coming from a barrage of three pointers and fast break layups. Cloud battled back and made it a tight one at the half, Neosho leading by a score of 39 to 35. The contest was a back and forth battle the rest of the way.
Marc Moon lead the Panthers with his first triple double of the season, and
Travon Bunch added 21 points and 10 rebounds. Despite those numbers, it would not be enough for the Panthers. Neosho had 25 turnovers and shot 55 percent from the free throw line in Wednesday night's game. They missed 8 of 9 in the last two minutes of regulation and overtime combined.
